Ash Lumber
How much on average does regular 2X4, 4X4 and 2X6 lumber cost?
And by regular I mean stuff you would normally buy to build a house so please fill me on what type “regular” is so next time I ask a question about it I won’t feel dumb…lol. Sorry…just new to this and I have looked up the price but I can’t find a straight answer as in price per foot and the prices I did find seem like some special type of wood such as white ash or something. Thanx!

How long are you looking for? 2x4x8′ runs around $2.25, 2x6x8′ runs around $2.60, 4x4x8′ pressure treated runs in the neighborhood of $3.50. Prices vary widely depending on where you live and where you get the lumber. Your best bet is to check out a local home center or lumber yard. You can see the pricing for various lengths as well.
