Poplar Lumber

can kiln dried lumber be used in outdoors applications?

I am restoring a couple of victorian homes and need to make some accents. The original lumber used for this was poplar as was the siding. I cannot find air dried poplar and need to know if kiln dried will work in this application.

Kiln dried will work fine. Most of what you will find these days is either kiln dried or partially air dried. Make sure that you use a good oil based primer. Good luck with your project!
