What method would make a timber water proof best other than paint?

I am making a home of timber logs. Want the bathroom to be water resistant. Mind you, this is tropical country. Do not want to use paint.

Check out Linseed Oil to condition the wood. I have used this in painting houses on raw wood on the exterior, then we painted over it with Kilz and then paint. This was a very moldy area we were preparing.
